About the Role
<p>Anderson Knight is currently recruiting for a Legal Assistant on behalf of a highly respected and established law firm based in Glasgow.</p>

Working closely with Partners, fee earners, and colleagues across the wider business, the successful candidate will provide high-quality administrative and operational support while contributing to the overall efficiency of the team.</p>

<p>Key Responsibilities</p>
<p>Administrative & Secretarial Support</p>
<ul>
<li>Provide comprehensive administrative support to fee earners across multiple offices, ensuring the efficient day-to-day operation of the department.</li>
<li>Act as a professional first point of contact for clients, handling calls and enquiries on behalf of team members where required.</li>
<li>Coordinate departmental meetings, training sessions, and CPD activities.</li>
<li>Manage diaries, scheduling, and staff holiday records.</li>
<li>Support the continued development of a paper-lite working environment, ensuring documents are managed effectively and securely.</li>
</ul>
<p>Legal Administration</p>
<ul>
<li>Assist with file review processes to ensure matters are progressed accurately and within agreed timescales.</li>
<li>Communicate with clients on a regular basis and respond to queries as directed by fee earners.</li>
<li>Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation.</li>
<li>Support the onboarding and induction of new employees, including fee earners, trainees, and support staff.</li>
</ul>
<p>Billing & Reporting</p>
<ul>
<li>Assist with the monthly billing cycle, ensuring all activities are completed accurately and within deadlines.</li>
<li>Support the review of outstanding balances, fee reports, and timesheet information.</li>
<li>Produce and maintain reports and spreadsheets relating to billing activity and fee earner workloads.</li>
<li>Identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and support continuous improvement initiatives across the team.</li>
</ul>
<p>Knowledge, Skills & Experience</p>
<p>Essential</p>
<ul>
<li>Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.</li>
<li>Strong attention to detail and accurate administrative abilities.</li>
<li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.</li>
<li>A professional, proactive, and client-focused approach.</li>
<li>Strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and reporting information.</li>
<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.</li>
</ul>
<p>Desirable</p>
<ul>
<li>Previous experience within a legal or professional services environment.</li>
<li>Familiarity with legal terminology and legal administrative procedures.</li>
<li>Experience using legal case management systems.</li>
</ul>
