Behaviour Mentor – Secondary School – Coalville

About the role:

You will work closely with students who require additional behavioural and pastoral support, helping them overcome barriers to learning and improve attendance, engagement and overall outcomes. You will build trusted relationships with students and play a vital role in supporting their personal development. This role starts in September of 2026 on a part time supply basis.

Key Responsibilities:

 

• Delivering one-to-one mentoring sessions.

 

 

• Supporting pupils with behavioural challenges.

 

 

• Implementing behaviour improvement strategies.

 

 

• Liaising with parents, teachers and external agencies.

 

 

• Monitoring attendance and engagement.

 

 

• Recording interventions and student progress.

 

Pre-requisites:

 

• Experience working with young people.

 

 

• Strong behaviour management skills.

 

 

• Resilient and empathetic personality.

 

 

• Ability to build positive professional relationships.
