- 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- 12:00 PM – 11:00 PM
- 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Minimum Commitment: Flexible
- EMR: Epic
Facility Overview
- Annual ED Volume: ~32,000 visits
- Community hospital emergency department
- Physician-led care model with APP integration
Coverage Model:
- Physician coverage: 36 hours daily
- APP coverage: 12 hours daily
Practice Environment
This is a balanced emergency department designed for efficiency and consistency.
- ~1.85 patients per hour
- Strong APP support handling lower-acuity cases
- Defined patient flow and manageable volume
- Broad-spectrum emergency medicine without extreme acuity burden
This is a true mid-volume ED sweet spot—steady flow without burnout-level intensity.
Clinical Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat emergency department patients
- Manage acute and emergent conditions
- Perform procedures within scope
- Collaborate with APPs and hospital staff
- Complete documentation within Epic EMR
What We’re Looking For
- Board Certified or Board Eligible Emergency Medicine
- Active West Virginia license
- DEA required
Also Accepted:
- Board Certified Internal Medicine or Family Medicine with recent Emergency Medicine experience
- Completion of accredited postgraduate training with current ED practice
Certifications:
- ACLS, ATLS, PALS required
- ATLS not required to be current if previously completed (EM Boarded physicians)
