About the Role
This is a supply Teaching Assistant position, ideal for candidates looking for flexible work across the week. You will provide cover on a day-to-day or short-term basis, supporting the class teacher and pupils as required.
The role may involve working across different year groups and supporting a range of learning needs, including 1:1 support where required.
Key Responsibilities
Support the class teacher with the delivery of lessons
Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils
Assist with classroom preparation and learning resources
Help manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
Adapt quickly to different classroom environments and routines
Support pupils’ learning, engagement, and wellbeing
Supervise pupils during break times where required
Requirements
Previous experience working with children (school-based experience desirable)
A flexible and adaptable approach to work
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A positive, patient, and proactive attitude
Ability to build rapport quickly with pupils and staff
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
Desirable
Experience working within UK primary schools
Experience supporting pupils with SEND
Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant)
