We are looking for an experienced Fire & Security Commissioning Engineer to join a growing team working across the South West and M4 corridor, ideally based around Bristol or Bath.
This is a great opportunity for a skilled engineer with strong commissioning experience across fire alarms, CCTV, intruder alarms, and access control systems who enjoys working on large-scale projects and delivering high-quality systems to clients.
The Role
As a Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for commissioning, testing and handing over systems to clients while ensuring installations meet specifications, drawings, and relevant standards.
You will work closely with clients, contractors and project teams, ensuring systems are fully operational and that customers are confident in their use.
Key Responsibilities
Commissioning large-scale fire and security systems
Managing client expectations and maintaining strong customer relationships
Liaising with clients, contractors and internal teams
Commissioning and handover of systems in line with specifications and drawings
Delivering client demonstrations and training
Completing commissioning documentation and CRM records
Working across the following disciplines:
Access Control
CCTV
Intruder Alarms
Fire Alarm Systems
Integrating detection and CCTV systems with other disciplines
Planning and managing your own workload effectively
Ensuring all work is carried out in line with Health & Safety regulations
Maintaining company vehicle, PPE and safety equipment
Systems Experience
Experience commissioning the following systems is highly desirable:

Requirements
Minimum 8 years industry experience
Strong experience commissioning fire and security systems
Good understanding of BS5839
Manufacturer training / certifications desirable
Good knowledge of IP / network-based systems
ECS / CSCS card
Full UK Driving Licence
IPAF certification
FIA Units 1–3 (desirable but not essential)
