A growing, international manufacturing business is creating a new Financial Accountant role to strengthen its finance function and support increasingly complex group operations.
This is a fantastic career opportunity for a qualified accountant who wants clear ownership of statutory reporting and audit, alongside exposure to commercial finance, budgeting and forecasting, with strong mentoring from an experienced Finance Manager.
The role
You’ll take end-to-end ownership of core financial reporting while building broader commercial capability. Key responsibilities include:
Full ownership of statutory reporting for UK entities.
Leading the year-end audit process, acting as the primary audit contact.
Monthly group consolidation, including overseas subsidiaries.
Balance sheet control, reconciliations and financial governance.
Supporting budgeting, forecasting and cashflow planning.
Partnering with commercial and operational stakeholders to deliver financial analysis and insight.
Developing and improving finance processes, controls and reporting.
Line management and development of a junior finance team member.
You’ll work closely with the Finance Manager and have regular exposure to the senior leadership team, contributing to decision-making rather than just reporting outcomes.
About you
Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with 2+ years PQE
Comfortable owning statutory accounts and audit processes
Exposure to group reporting and consolidation beneficial but not essential
Interested in developing commercial finance and business partnering skills
Strong Excel skills; ERP experience advantageous
Confident communicator with a proactive, improvement-focused mindset
Backgrounds from Practice or Industry are both welcomed.
