About the Role
<h1><strong>Multiple Data Engineer Roles – 6‑Month Contract (Inside IR35)</strong></h1>
<p><strong>Location:</strong> 1 day onsite per month<br /><strong>Duration:</strong> 6 months (programme running until 2028)<br /><strong>Clearance:</strong> Active HMRC SC<br /><strong>Rates:</strong></p>
<p>A major <strong>central government programme</strong> is recruiting multiple <strong>Data Engineers</strong> to support a long‑term transformation initiative. The programme runs until <strong>2028</strong>, offering long‑term continuity and varied work across a wide technology landscape.</p>
<p>Candidates must hold <strong>active SC</strong> or be willing to undergo an SC transfer.</p>

<li>Python</li>
<li>UNIX scripting</li>
<li>AWS</li>
<li>Data ETL product experience</li>
<li>Exposure to Generative AI</li>
<li>Grafana monitoring</li>
<li>SAS / SAS Viya</li>
<li>Atlassian Jira</li>
<li>General engineering background</li>
</ul>
<p>These roles span a wide technical footprint, so specialists from multiple data engineering backgrounds are encouraged to apply.</p>

<h2><strong>Clearance Requirements</strong></h2>
<h3><strong>1. Candidates with active SC</strong></h3>
<h3><strong>2. Candidates with SC from another government department</strong></h3>

<li>Must complete <strong>BPSS</strong> first (approx. <strong>3 weeks</strong>)</li>
<li>Then complete an <strong>SC transfer</strong> (approx. <strong>8-10 weeks</strong>)</li>
<li>Total lead time to start: <strong>12-13 weeks</strong></li>
