Job Summary
The Lawn Care Worker is responsible for maintaining healthy, attractive lawns and outdoor areas for residential or commercial properties. This role involves mowing, trimming, edging, fertilizing, and performing general landscape maintenance while following safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Mow, edge, and trim lawns using power and hand tools
- Apply fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides according to guidelines
- Remove weeds, leaves, debris, and clippings from outdoor areas
- Prune shrubs, trees, and hedges as needed
- Perform seasonal tasks such as aeration, overseeding, and leaf removal
- Inspect equipment and perform basic maintenance
- Identify lawn diseases, pests, or irrigation issues and report them
- Follow safety procedures and use PPE correctly
- Provide courteous service to clients and maintain a professional appearance
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods
- Comfortable working in heat, cold, and humidity
