Justteachers is seeking a compassionate and experienced SEND Support Assistant to join one of our welcoming and inclusive partner primary schools located in Solihull from September 2025. This is a full-time, long-term position supporting pupils with special educational needs (SEND)

The school is celebrated for its inclusive ethos, strong leadership, and commitment to ensuring that every child receives a personalised and accessible education. You will be working closely with the SENDCo, class teachers, and external agencies to deliver individual support that enables pupils with additional needs to thrive.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with SEND
• Implement personalised strategies and interventions as directed by the class teacher and SENDCo
• Assist with behaviour support and emotional regulation techniques where required
• Monitor progress and contribute to Education Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and learning targets
• Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment

Pre-requisites:

• Level 2 or higher teaching assistant qualification or equivalent (Must be relevant to working with children)
• Proven experience working with children in a school or relevant setting (That can be referenced)
• A minimum of two references that cover the past two years, including last employer. Ideally references will be education or school-based references
