In addition to base pay, Kwik Trip gives 40% of pre-tax profits back to our coworkers with bonuses ranging from 8-12% of each coworker’s gross annual wage depending on company profitability and offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, 401k, paid time off, and more.</span></span></p><p> </p><br><p>Kwik Trip’s Maintenance Department is seeking a self-motivated Ammonia Refrigeration Technician to inspect, maintain, and repair industrial ammonia refrigeration systems while supporting safe, reliable operations across our facilities.</p><p><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></p><ul><li>Inspect, maintain, and repair industrial ammonia refrigeration systems.</li><li>Execute system pump downs or isolations to facilitate opening, rebuilding, replacement, and repairs as needed.</li><li>Conduct and analyze routine daily tasks, including equipment evaluations for proper operating parameters.</li><li>Troubleshoot and assist production departments with maintenance and emergency cooling issues (ammonia and HVAC).</li><li>Teach and mentor other technicians in advanced troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs.</li><li>Complete Process Safety Management (PSM) compliance documentation.</li><li>Follow blueprints and diagrams to diagnose and complete repairs.</li><li>Read and apply applicable codes, regulations, manuals, and procedures.</li></ul><p><strong>What You Bring</strong></p><ul><li>Minimum of five years’ experience operating and/or servicing industrial ammonia refrigeration systems.</li><li>CARO and CIRO certification (or equivalent) or the ability to obtain CARO/CIRO.</li><li>Knowledge of electricity, electrical motors, controls, and wiring for troubleshooting and repairs.</li><li>Basic welding skills to perform equipment repairs.</li><li>Ability to read and understand electrical, building, P&ID, and system/equipment blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.</li><li>Commitment to completing maintenance to required specifications and codes/regulations.</li><li>Strong communication skills to collaborate across levels and communicate project scope and requirements.</li><li>Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and applicable codes/regulations.</li><li>Working knowledge of Maximo and Microsoft Office programs.</li><li>Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.</li></ul><p><strong>Physical Qualifications</strong></p><p>Stand up to 8 hours; lift up to 100 pounds; bend, reach, and twist frequently; work in a variety of weather temperatures and conditions.</p><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><ul><li>40% profit sharing.</li><li>401(k) contribution.</li><li>Paid sick time and holidays.</li><li>2 weeks accrued vacation.</li><li>Health, dental, vision, and life insurance.</li><li>Footwear allowance.</li><li>Prescription safety glasses allowance.</li><li>Extra compensation for on-call responsibilities.</li></ul><p><strong>Work Schedule</strong></p><p>Monday through Friday, 7am-3pm.
