About the Role
Position: Road Freight Export ManagerLocation: Dartford areaSalary: £45,000 - £50,000 (DOE)Our client, a well-established freight forwarding and logistics provider, is seeking an experienced Road Freight Export Manager to lead our road freight export operations. You will coordinate shipments, manage trailer planning and capacity, and deliver efficient transport solutions across the UK and Europe.This role requires strong operational knowledge, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to maintain high service levels while controlling costs and ensuring compliance.Job OverviewManage Export Operations: Oversee all road freight export shipments and resolve operational issues promptly.Trailer & Capacity Planning: Plan and allocate trailers efficiently, optimise utilisation, and coordinate warehouse loading schedules.Team Leadership: Supervise and support the export team, providing guidance on planning, routing, and problem-solving.Customer & Carrier Liaison: Maintain strong relationships with customers, carriers, and European partners; provide shipment updates and resolve queries.Compliance & Documentation: Ensure accurate export paperwork, liaise with customs, and comply with transport regulations.Cost & Performance Control: Monitor costs, improve planning efficiency, and minimise delays.Job RequirementsProven experience within road freight exportsExperience within European road freight operations advantageousPrevious experience in a supervisory or managerial capacity within a freight forwarding environmentSolid understanding of trailer planning, route optimisation, and export schedulingGood knowledge of export documentation, CMRs, customs processes, and transport complianceStrong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentSalary & Benefits£45,000 - £50,000 dependent on experienceMonday - Friday, 09:00 - 17:30Office Based28 days holiday including UK bank holidaysBennett and Game Recruitment are a multi-disciplined technical recruitment agency based in Chichester, West Sussex operating across the UK with specialist teams covering a range of industries.We are acting as a Recruitment Agency in relation to this vacancy, and in accordance with GDPR by applying you are granting us consent to process your data, contact you about the services we offer, and submit your CV for the role you have applied for.
