Credit Control Team Leader

My client, a global business with headquarters in Cambridge, is looking for an experienced Credit Control Team Leader to join their team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.  This is an excellent opportunity to lead a high-performing Accounts Receivable/Credit Control team within a fast-paced international business. You'll be responsible for driving operational excellence, delivering exceptional customer service, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the finance function. As Credit Control Team Leader, you will:Lead, motivate and develop a small Credit Control/Accounts Receivable team, setting clear objectives and driving performance.Ensure a high standard of service delivery through effective workload planning and team management.Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, resolving issues and identifying opportunities for service improvements.Drive continuous improvement initiatives, helping to streamline processes and embed best practice.Monitor team KPIs, ensuring service levels are consistently achieved or exceeded.Maintain robust financial controls and ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.Ensure the integrity of financial records, identifying and escalating any issues where required.Oversee key Accounts Receivable activities We're looking for someone who has:A strong and capable people manager – with previous experience leading a Credit Control or Accounts Receivable team.Strong knowledge of finance systems and Accounts Receivable processes.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.A hands-on leadership style with the ability to work strategically and operationally.A solid understanding of financial controls, compliance and operational risk.Strong Microsoft Excel skills and experience using ERP/accounting systems (Oracle experience is advantageous). What's on OfferSalary up to £50,000 + bonusExcellent benefits packageHybrid workingFree on-site parking If you're an experienced Credit Control leader looking for your next challenge, I'd love to hear from you.
