Join the largest, and greenest, fleet operator in the UK and take on a new challenge in a commercial vehicle workshop environment.</strong></p><p> </p><p>We’re recruiting a Level 3 qualified mechanic at <span style="color:black">Newtownabbey </span>Workshop on a Permanent contract, with the potential to earn up to £65k including overtime.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Working Hours:</strong> Full time - 39.5 hours per week (excluding meal breaks) working 5 over 7 days per week (rotating shift pattern; week 1: 06:00 - 14:30, week 2: 10:00 - 18:00 and week 3: 13:30 - 22:00).</p><p>You’ll be scheduled to work one weekend in every three. There’s never been a better time to join Royal Mail as a Vehicle Technician.</p><p><br>• You’ll perform a full range of inspections, diagnostic, maintenance, and repair procedures on a range of vehicles, trailers, and mechanical equipment. <br>• You’ll use your own personal toolkit to undertake routine maintenance and repair light / heavy goods vehicles.<br>• You’ll also have access to specialist tooling and shared equipment in our modern, fully equipped workshops.</p><p> </p><p><strong>A bit about you</strong></p><p><br>• <strong> Qualified mechanic: </strong>you’re fully qualified to an advanced level (Level 3 in Light or Heavy vehicle or equivalent). You’ve got your own toolkit for standard repairs.<br>• <strong>Varied vehicle experience:</strong> Proven Vehicle Technician experience working on a wide range of vehicles, for example <span style="color:black">LCV / HGV.</span><br>• <strong>Valid UK driving licence: </strong>You hold a full manual UK driving licence, preferably an <span style="color:black">HGV licence with trailer experience</span>.<br>• <strong> High working standards: </strong>you take pride in your work and do what is necessary to make sure the job is done effectively.<br>• <strong> Flexible to service demands: </strong>you’re able to work on a flexible shift rota.
