About the Role

Warehouse Team Leader Schedule: 3rd Shift (10:30PM to 7AM) Mon-Fri. Schedule will change after a few weeks to Sun-Thu or Tue-Sat. Pay: $20-25/hourly Assignment dates: August 10th to November 30th (4 Months) Position Summary The Warehouse Team Leader oversees daily warehouse operations, ensuring inbound and outbound materials are processed accurately and on time. This role supports the Warehouse Manager in coordinating activities to meet operational needs, while leading and training staff, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring compliance with safety, regulatory, and food safety standards. Key Responsibilities Manage daily warehouse material handling activities Oversee shipping and receiving operations for timely and accurate material flow Coordinate external warehouse materials to support production needs Train staff on safe equipment operation (forklifts, loading/unloading, trailers) Monitor work areas and correct unsafe behaviors or conditions Hold team members accountable for performance and safety standards Assign and manage cycle counts and inventory accuracy activities Perform inventory reconciliations and resolve discrepancies Maintain FEFO/FIFO inventory rotation standards Monitor equipment and submit maintenance requests as needed Create and manage employee work schedules for coverage Coordinate materials flow including receiving, storage, transfers, and production line supply Lead, coach, train, and develop warehouse team members Communicate with operations, quality, and supply chain teams to resolve issues Ensure effective shift handoffs and communication between teams Promote urgency and accountability to meet operational goals Monitor and report performance metrics (safety, quality, efficiency, cost, waste) Other duties as assigned Requirements High school diploma or GED required (Bachelor’s degree preferred) 3–5 years of warehouse/receiving/inventory control experience 3–5 years of people management experience Food manufacturing experience preferred Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, Excel; SAP/MRP systems preferred) Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles Must be flexible to work other shifts as needed Ability to work during peak season (extended schedule required, 7 days a week.
