About the Role

Description

We are currently looking for a Item Builder at our Griffin, GA location.

Essential Duties and Tasks:

  • Create new item records in the ERP/MRP system based on approved requests.

  • Enter and validate item attributes such as:

  • Item numbers and descriptions

  • Units of measure (UOM)

  • Packaging configurations

  • Bills of Materials (BOMs)

  • Routing/operation steps

  • Cost fields and planning parameters

  • Update and maintain existing items as changes occur

  • Work closely with the Master Scheduler to ensure item setups support accurate scheduling and planning.

  • Verify that all required item data is complete before items are released to production.

  • Communicate missing information or discrepancies to Planning, Manufacturing, or Engineering.

  • Back fill the Master Scheduler when needed.

  • Review item requests for completeness and compliance with company standards.

  • Audit data regularly to identify duplicates, incorrect fields, or outdated information.

  • Maintain documentation, logs, or checklists related to item creation.
