About the Position
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Construction Superintendent to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing commercial, industrial, and ground-up construction projects. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to lead and oversee complex construction projects from inception to completion.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management: Oversee all aspects of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Safety Compliance: Implement and maintain a robust safety program, ensuring all site activities adhere to OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate activities of subcontractors, laborers, and other construction personnel on-site.
Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections to ensure work meets or exceeds industry standards and client specifications.
Schedule Management: Develop, maintain, and update project schedules, identifying and addressing potential delays proactively.
Budget Oversight: Monitor project costs, manage resources efficiently, and identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality.
Client Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, and engineers, maintaining clear and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and change orders.
Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve construction-related issues promptly and effectively, minimizing project disruptions.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all construction activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as building codes and zoning requirements.
Technology Integration: Utilize construction management software and other relevant technologies to enhance project efficiency and communication.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent, with a focus on commercial, industrial, and ground-up projects
Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects from start to finish
In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry best practices
Strong understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and quality control standards
Excellent leadership and team management skills
Superior problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid, Autodesk BIM 360)
Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various job sites as needed
Preferred Qualifications
OSHA 30-hour certification
First Aid and CPR certification
Experience with sustainable construction practices and LEED certification processes
Familiarity with lean construction principles
