1st Line Service Desk Analyst role based in Fareham, Hampshire, United Kingdom. This is a permanent, full-time office-based role with an IT Service Provider.
The successful candidate will act as the first point of contact for customer tickets via phone, email and remote tools, helping users resolve day-to-day IT issues and keeping businesses moving.
The role involves diagnosing and resolving 1st line IT issues across desktop, server and cloud environments, supporting Microsoft 365 applications, Windows 10 and 11, networking and remote access setups, logging and managing tickets through to resolution, escalating issues where needed, helping project engineers with hardware preparation for deployments, updating the asset register and keeping records accurate.
The successful candidate will bring some commercial experience in an IT support role, or strong technical foundations from training, along with confidence supporting Microsoft 365, Windows operating systems and basic networking.
This role would suit someone with good problem-solving skills, clear communication, a proactive attitude and an interest in building their IT career within a supportive service desk team. Experience with VoIP, VPNs, Hyper-V or VMware would be beneficial.
