You will support pupils through 1:1 intervention, small-group academic work, lesson support, and targeted help with reading, writing, analysis, and exam preparation, while learning from experienced staff in a busy secondary setting.<br><strong> </strong><br><strong>The Candidate:</strong><br> You are articulate, organised, and able to explain ideas clearly in a way pupils understand. You want proper secondary school experience, enjoy helping students improve in English, and see this as a genuine route into teaching rather than just another temporary role.<br><strong> </strong><br><strong>Requirements</strong><br> • Degree – A 2:2 or above in English, English Literature, Creative Writing, or a related subject.<br> • Communication – Clear and confident verbal and written communication.<br> • Enhanced DBS – Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.<br> • Desire to work in education/with children – Genuine interest in supporting pupil progress and wellbeing.<br> • Career Goals – A desire to train as a teacher and build a long-term career in education.<br><strong> </strong><br><strong>The School:</strong><br> This unique secondary school in central Birmingham offers a strong setting for a graduate who wants to prove themselves in the classroom and then progress.
