Warehouse Operative / Machine Operator

<p>We’re looking for a reliable Warehouse Operative / Machine Operator to join our clients team in Horsforth. This is an approximately 50/50 role, combining warehouse, packing, and palletising duties with machine operation when required.</p> <p>Role Responsibilities (50/50 Split):</p> <p>Warehouse / Packing / Palletising</p> <ul> <li>Pick, pack, label, and prepare goods for dispatch</li> <li>Palletise products and ensure items are secured safely for transport</li> <li>Complete goods in / goods out activities, including checking deliveries</li> <li>Stage stock accurately and keep the warehouse organised</li> <li>Carry out basic quality checks and follow picking/packing instructions</li> <li>Keep work areas clean and compliant with Health &amp; Safety requirements</li> </ul> <p>Machine Operation (when required)</p> <ul> <li>Operate warehouse machinery as trained and authorised</li> <li>Monitor machine performance during runs and report any issues promptly</li> <li>Ensure safe operation at all times and follow SOPs/operating procedures</li> <li>Complete routine machine checks/cleaning duties as required</li> <li>Support production/warehouse needs based on operational demand</li> </ul> <p>The Candidate Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Previous experience in warehouse and/or machine operating is ideal</li> <li>Ideally background includes machine operating and warehouse environment work</li> <li>Able to work at pace in a busy operational environment</li> <li>Comfortable with physical work, including repetitive manual handling and lifting</li> <li>Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions/procedures</li> <li>Good timekeeping, reliability, and willingness to learn</li> </ul> <p>At Cogent Staffing, we are committed to ethical recruitment practices and fostering an inclusive workplace.
