About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Social Worker - Team Manager for our Child Protection/Child in Need (CP/CIN) Team. This pivotal role will allow you to lead a team of passionate social workers in delivering high-quality support and intervention for vulnerable children and families. You will be responsible for ensuring that all cases are managed effectively, promoting best practices, and maintaining compliance with relevant legislation and guidelines.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and supervising a team of social workers, providing guidance and support to enhance their professional development.
  • Overseeing case management processes, ensuring timely assessments and interventions are conducted.
  • Collaborating with external agencies and stakeholders to improve service delivery and outcomes for children and families.
  • Conducting regular performance reviews and implementing strategies for continuous improvement within the team.
  • Ensuring adherence to safeguarding policies and procedures to protect children at risk.

To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Current registration with a relevant professional body (e.g., Social Work England).
  • Considerable experience in child protection and child in need work, with a proven track record in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Sound knowledge of legislation and best practices related to child welfare and safeguarding.
