Position Summary
The On-Site Staffing Manager is responsible for overseeing contingent workforce operations within a fast-paced logistics and warehouse environment. This role serves as the primary point of contact between the client and assigned employees, ensuring staffing levels, productivity, attendance, safety, and performance expectations are consistently met. The ideal candidate has proven leadership experience managing large teams, strong coaching and employee development skills, and the flexibility to support multiple shifts as business demands change.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily staffing operations for a logistics warehouse facility.
- Supervise and support a workforce of 20–50+ warehouse associates.
- Recruit, onboard, schedule, and retain temporary employees.
- Conduct employee orientation, safety briefings, and training sessions.
- Monitor attendance, productivity, quality, and performance metrics.
- Provide ongoing coaching, counseling, and corrective action when necessary.
- Partner with client management to forecast staffing needs and address workforce challenges.
- Investigate employee concerns and resolve workplace issues promptly and professionally.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, OSHA regulations, and client requirements.
- Conduct regular floor walks to ensure safety and operational standards are followed.
- Prepare reports related to headcount, attendance, turnover, and productivity.
- Participate in shift start-up meetings and communicate operational priorities.
- Support employee engagement initiatives and recognition programs.
- Maintain accurate employee records and staffing documentation.

Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory or management experience overseeing 20–50 employees in a warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, or distribution environment.
- Previous experience working in staffing, workforce management, logistics, or warehouse operations preferred.
- Demonstrated experience coaching, mentoring, and developing employees.
- Strong conflict resolution and employee relations skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Experience with timekeeping, scheduling, and workforce management systems.
Schedule Requirements
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including:
- Days, evenings, nights, and weekends as needed
- Overtime during peak business periods
- On-call support when operational demands require
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout a warehouse environment.
- Ability to regularly move throughout the facility and interact with employees on the production floor.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
Preferred Skills
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
- Experience supporting high-volume warehouse or distribution center operations.
- Knowledge of OSHA and warehouse safety practices.
- Strong customer service and client relationship management skills.
