Position Overview
The Manager, Process Innovation’s primary responsibilities are to identify and lead initiatives that drive increases in productivity, associate workload simplification and store operational processes. This job requires problem solving skills and strong analytical capabilities, along with cross-functional partnership and great communication skills. This role must effectively identify and implement new initiatives within the stores using observations, interactions with store leadership, partnership with Store Industrial Engineers, and competitive benchmarking.
A Day In The Life
Process Improvement and Analysis
Identify productivity and process improvement opportunities by providing insightful analysis and making compelling recommendations to senior leadership
Collect in-store observations, understand current operations, and collaborate with corporate and field subject matter experts to identify improvement opportunities
Partner with the Industrial Engineering team to estimate productivity opportunity of ideas that emerge during process improvement ideation
Leverage data to validate hypotheses or analyze improvements
Business and Financial Acumen
Generate stakeholder interest in pursuing ideas leveraging financial acumen to build strong business cases
Support business objectives through scoping, analysis, and implementation
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to generate improvement ideas and develop pilots to test hypotheses
Partner with Finance and Industrial Engineering teams for financial and workload impact measurement
Project Management
Own overall timelines, updates, milestones, and general project management across a variety of store process projects
Use project management tools to plan, develop, and coordinate the completion of assigned tasks and deliver quantifiable results
Build strong relationships with field partners to implement best practices and change management
You'll Come With
Skills and Abilities:
Ability to lead and prioritize projects for the Process Engineering & Innovation team
Proven written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on translating technical and financial data to non-technical audiences
Ability to independently gather, analyze and interpret information and develop, recommend, and implement solutions
Demonstrated ability to interact across a broad range of organizational levels and functions
General knowledge of process improvement, engineered labor standards, statistics and probability
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Industrial Engineering, or related analytical discipline
Experience:
5+ years of experience in operations consulting, project management, or process engineering
Preferred experience working in a retail or stores environment
Expertise in both written and verbal communication and presentation
