About the RoleA growing Projects Division within a large organisation is undergoing a significant transformation to standardise delivery, improve governance, and enhance performance visibility across its construction and engineering portfolio.
To support this, a Transformation Portfolio has been established, comprising six strategic programmes focused on:
- Standardising core delivery processes
- Enhancing digital tools and data visibility
- Strengthening financial and commercial controls
- Embedding consistent governance and compliance
We are seeking two experienced Transformation Programme Managers to join a central Transformation Team. These roles will play a critical part in delivering strategic change across the division.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage one or more transformation programmes or related workstreams
- Coordinate delivery across multiple projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives
- Work closely with business leaders, SMEs, and functional teams to implement change incrementally
- Maximise value from limited leadership and SME capacity through structured programme delivery
- Manage internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure effective delivery
- Drive adoption of standardised processes, governance frameworks, and controls
- Provide clear reporting on progress, risks, and performance across the programme lifecycle
- Support implementation of solutions across operational, commercial, finance, and support functions

Essential Experience
- Strong experience in change and transformation delivery
- Proven capability managing complex programmes or portfolios
- Experience working on or alongside IT/IS projects
- Comfortable working within waterfall delivery models
- Confident engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to operate effectively in an immature or developing transformation environment
- Demonstrated hands-on approach to delivery
Desirable Experience
- Construction or engineering sector background
- Energy or utilities industry experience
- Finance, commercial, or procurement process knowledge
- Experience with AI-related projects
- Establishing centres of excellence
- Designing and implementing governance frameworks and controls
Qualifications- Project or Programme Management certifications (e.g. PRINCE2, MSP, PMP) - desirable
Additional Information- Contractors will be embedded within a central Transformation Team
- Allocation across programmes will depend on priorities and individual experience

Reporting- Reporting into the Head of Transformation / Programme Leadership
