About the Role


Location: Central Preston

Salary: £13.00phr

Shift pattern: 1 week 8am till 16.00pm/2 week 14.00-22.00

We're seeking a compassionate and driven Project Worker to support young adults aged 16-24years who have experienced homelessness. You'll help them build independence, develop practical life skills, and move into stable housing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide person-centred support through regular keywork sessions and tailored support plans.

  • Help young people access education, training, employment, and health services.

  • Promote life skills such as budgeting, cooking, and tenancy management.

  • Work collaboratively with local authorities and partner agencies to ensure holistic support.

  • Maintain accurate case notes and contribute to safeguarding practices.

  • Provide Emotional support to help young people.

About You:

  • Experience working with vulnerable young people, ideally within housing or homelessness services.

  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries.

  • Confident communicator with empathy, resilience, and good organisational skills.

  • Knowledge of housing options and benefits systems is an advantage.
