We are seeking a Pump Station Mechanic-in-Training for assignment in The Villages, Florida. The selected candidate will perform a variety of tasks in the preventive and corrective maintenance of a water/wastewater treatment plant, pump stations and related equipment on an assigned shift.


Hours are Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm


** This position has a pay rate of $23.50 - $24/hr **


Responsibilities
- Installs, overhauls, repairs, services and maintains equipment such as pumps, motors, gas and diesel engines, meters, gauges, compressors, blowers, valves and backchecks
- Revamps pump stations; maintains 240/480 electrical system control panels
- Maintains well motors and A/C-D/C control systems
- Maintains service records
- Perform and participate with safe practices of confined space entries
- Submits requisitions for equipment and materials
- Distributes and completes work orders (CMMS) to appropriate personnel


Qualifications
- A valid Drivers License
- 2+ years experience in the repair and maintenance of electrical motors, pumps and mechanical equipment
- Ability to make inspections to determine operating conditions and needed repairs to pumping equipment
- Knowledge of 240/480 A/C-D/C control systems
- Ability to interpret and utilize SCADA
