Children's SW - Cared for Children Team - Trafford

As a Qualified Social Worker, you will be responsible for assessing the needs of children in care, developing and implementing care plans, and ensuring that their voices are heard. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
• Developing, reviewing, and implementing individual care plans in collaboration with children, families, and multi-agency partners.
• Providing direct support and intervention to children and families, ensuring their emotional and physical well-being.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation in accordance with legislative requirements.
• Participating in team meetings, supervision sessions, and training to continuously improve practice and outcomes.

To be considered for this position, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

• A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
• Registration with Social Work England.
• Experience working with children and families, particularly in a cared-for children setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively.
