About the Role
Role: Engineering Technician Client: Defense-Aerospace Hourly Rate: up to $31.50/hr (W2, non-benefited) Length: Long-term Location: McLeansville, NC Clearance: Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required Description: Interprets basic engineering drawings, diagrams and schematics Constructs, modifies, debugs, troubleshoots, calibrates, tests and adjusts a variety of tools, equipment and systems Conducts, analyzes and documents statistically based experiments to define process parameters Implements and documents complex solutions for process improvement Designs and constructs basic tooling and fixtures to accomplish unique tasks Organizes, analyzes and interprets data to identify cause/effect relationships and recommends resolution/process improvement Required & Desired Skills: Must have machining experience: Advance machining capabilities using manual as well as CNC controlled equipment (HAAS Mills, 4th and 5th Axis, Lathes) Solid knowledge and proficiency in the use of fabrication tools Ability to fabricate complex hardware Solid knowledge of generally accepted technical theory Advance machining capabilities using manual as well as CNC controlled equipment (HAAS Mills, 4th and 5th Axis, Lathes) Ability to use SolidWorks or other CAM software proficiently Ability to work standing for extended periods of time Ability to lift min 50 lbs Ability to communicate with peers and engineering to aid in design concepts.
