About the Role
A boutique central London firm with a new Manchester office is looking to bring a junior Solicitor onto their fantastic litigation team. Their close-nit firm is recognised by the Legal 500 and has a reputation for excellence and high quality work, with the Manchester office managed by a senior Partner and Head of Property Litigation.
As a developing team, this is an excellent opportunity to grow quickly within the firm while being fed high quality London work, including complex, multi-party disputes. Typical matters include secured recoveries (typically for lender clients), forfeitures, business lease renewals, dilapidations, breach of covenants, and landlord and tenant matters. The firm offers a competitive salary, excellent flexible hybrid working a a close relationship with the HoD allowing for plenty of support and training.
Responsibilities:
- Managing a caseload of property litigation and financial disputes, including secured recoveries and mortgage possession claims,
- Assist senior legal professionals and Partners with Larger matters, progressing their business plans and developing your own client network across the UK.
- Research appropriate case law and technical and legal precedents to progress matters.
- Clearly communicate with colleagues and clients.
Skills and Experience:
- UK qualified Solicitor of 2-4 PQE (other levels will be considered) from a reputable firm ideally with a Legal 500 or national offering,
- Extensive experience managing litigation matters to include financial litigation or debt recovery, and commercial litigation or property litigation,
- Strong academic background and technical ability including thoroughness and excellent attention to detail,
- A strong interest in litigation, internal progression, and business development.
Advantageous experience (non-essential):
- Experience with receivership or insolvency matters,
- Experience with possession claims,
- Experience assisting clients within the finance sector.
