This role is central to delivering accurate, compliant and strategically aligned tax solutions across a diverse client base. As a key contributor, you will lead complex tax assessments, oversee compliance with HMRC and international standards (including OECD BEPS and DAC6), and drive tax planning initiatives that support business growth and regulatory adherence. With deep expertise in UK corporate tax law and cross-border tax structures, you will advise multinational clients on restructuring, M&A due diligence, and tax-efficient governance. Responsibilities: - Lead end-to-end preparation and review of corporate tax returns, including CT600, capital gains tax computations and annual corporation tax filings. - Deliver expert guidance on tax-efficient structuring, group reorganizations and international tax planning. - Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations and global tax standards such as OECD BEPS and DAC6 reporting requirements. - Conduct comprehensive tax due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures, assessing pre- and post-transaction tax implications. - Mentor and supervise junior tax professionals, fostering technical excellence and client-focused service delivery. - Partner with senior partners and external advisors to design integrated tax strategies aligned with client objectives. - Monitor legislative developments and proactively interpret new tax laws to provide timely, actionable advice. - Prepare clear, concise technical reports, client presentations and internal memoranda for stakeholders. - Support business development by identifying growth opportunities and enhancing service offerings. - Uphold firm-wide quality control, governance and compliance protocols across all engagements. Corporate Tax Manager - Professional qualification in Corporate Tax, including ACA, ACCA, CTA, or Chartered Certified Accountant status. - Experience in corporate tax within a reputable accounting firm, corporate finance function or tax advisory practice. - Extensive knowledge of UK corporation tax, including capital allowances, R&D tax credits, loss relief and group relief rules. - Demonstrated ability to manage high-value client relationships and deliver tailored tax solutions in complex, multi-jurisdictional environments. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to translate complex tax concepts into clear, actionable insights. - Proficiency in tax preparation software (e.g. CaseWare, Thomson Reuters) and advanced Excel skills. - Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines, work independently and maintain precision under pressure. - Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with evolving tax legislation. - High level of attention to detail, integrity and accountability in all professional responsibilities.
