He/ She will also provide inpatient and out-patient medical consultation in a variety of settings. Engagement in teaching and scholarly activities that are an institutional service and are seen as essential parts of the position, including participation in quality improvement and systems compliance initiatives, and Division/ Departmental Medical School and University-wide service and conferences. </div><div>Outline of additional responsibilities include but are not Limited to: </div><div><ul><li>Maintain outpatient clinical practice at one or more UM-affiliated facilities to adult patients </li><li>Maintain outpatient clinical practice diagnosing and treating patients with arthritis and other types of musculoskeletal diseases. </li><li>Close Encounters within 48 Hours of visits </li><li>Rotate on night and weekend call proportionate to other faculty. </li><li>Rotate on attending schedule at all facilities. </li></ul></div><div>Qualifications: </div><div><ul><li>MD Degree and ACGME US internal medicine internship and residency </li><li>Completed 2 year ACGME US Rheumatology fellowship </li><li>Valid American Board Certification in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology (or board eligible) </li><li>Valid unrestricted Florida Medical License or eligible to apply (must have license prior to credentialing) </li><li>BLS certification </li></ul></div><div> </div><div>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: </div><div><ul><li>Knowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles, procedures and techniques. </li><li>Completion of US ACGME 2 year rheumatology fellowship </li><li>Must maintain CME to meet institutional and state licensing requirements </li><li>Must have excellent clinical knowledge and experience to provide safe and quality care to patients and meet institutional standards of care </li><li>Current BLS certification required.
