Reporting directly to senior management, this role offers the chance to be central to their ongoing commitment to safety and operational success.
About you:
You hold a recognised health and safety qualification, such as NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent
You possess previous experience in a Health & Safety role within a construction or similar environment
You have strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practices
You excel in communication and stakeholder engagement
You demonstrate excellent organisational skills with great attention to detail
You are proactive, solutions-oriented, and committed to fostering a positive safety culture
Membership of IOSH or working towards it is desirable
What you'll do:
Support the implementation and continuous review of health and safety policies and procedures
Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and hazard management
Investigate workplace incidents and near misses, producing comprehensive reports and preventative measures
Lead or coordinate safety training sessions to raise awareness across teams
Assist in internal safety audits, compliance reporting, and management reviews
Help develop emergency response plans, execute safety drills, and manage fire safety protocols
