About the Role

<p>Our client is a boutique London-based contractor specialising in design and build for high-end, super-prime one-off hospitality refurbishment and restoration projects.</p> <p>With over 10 years&rsquo; experience delivering some of the most prestigious redevelopment projects in the capital, the company is known for exceptional craftsmanship and meticulous attention to detail.</p> <p>This is an exciting opportunity for a hungry Quantity Surveyor to further their career by working on London&#039;s flagship hospitality projects.</p> <p><b>Role Summary:</b></p> <ul> <li>Leading pre- and post-contract quantity surveying duties across luxury refurbishment projects.</li> <li>Prepare detailed cost plans, feasibility studies, bills of quantities, tender packs, and procurement documentation.</li> <li>Develop and advise on procurement strategies and contract terms.</li> <li>Manage valuations, interim payments, subcontractor payments, cost reporting, and cash flow forecasts.</li> <li>Oversee variations, change orders, claims, and final account negotiations.</li> <li>Work closely with the Senior QS, Project Managers, design teams, subcontractors, and senior leadership to ensure commercial control and contract compliance.</li> <li>Provide commercial advice to internal teams and clients, including budgeting, risk management, and value engineering opportunities.</li> <li>Power business development by compiling bids, tenders, and cost proposals.</li> <li>Ensure all commercial work aligns with best practice, company standards, and relevant contract forms (typically JCT).</li> </ul> <p><b>Essential Skills and Experience:</b></p> <ul> <li>Degree or HND in Quantity Surveying or related field.</li> <li>7+ years&rsquo; experience in a QS role.</li> <li>Strong knowledge of construction methods, procurement routes, and standard forms of contract (e.g. JCT).</li> <li>Proven experience managing valuations, variations, cost forecasting, commercial reporting, and final accounts.</li> <li>Excellent negotiation, communication, and client management skills.</li> <li>Ability to manage all commercial aspects of multiple projects with competing deadlines simultaneously.</li> <li>Highly organised, detail-focused, and proactive.</li> <li>Experience within the one-off hospitality, super-prime, ultra-luxury, or heritage refurbishment sector.</li> <li>Ability to prepare fee proposals and support tender submissions.</li> <li>Familiarity with cost-management software (CostX, Bluebeam, etc.).</li> <li>Ability to review design proposals relative to contract obligations and advice on potential cost adjustment.</li> <li>Must be able to procure packages with design intent drawings whilst managing cost adjustments during any design development in line with planned site progress.</li> </ul> <p><b>Why Join Our Client:</b></p> <ul> <li>Salary: &pound;75,000 &#8211; &pound;80,000 per annum.</li> <li>Opportunity to work on some of London&rsquo;s most prestigious high-end projects with international brands.</li> <li>Autonomy and responsibility to lead the commercial function on complex, bespoke builds.</li> <li>A collaborative, specialist team committed to quality and refinement.</li> <li>Professional development and potential progression into senior commercial leadership.</li> <li>Exposure to unique, design-driven refurbishment projects with exceptional craftsmanship.</li> </ul>
