About the Role

We have a temporary/seconded 30hr position for a Band 7 Senior Charge Midwife available within the Obstetric Ultrasound Department, NHS Grampian. This is an exciting opportunity to join an excellent team within the Obstetric Ultrasound Service, Aberdeen. We require a dynamic, motivated and enthusiastic individual wishing to work within an Ultrasound and Fetal Medicine environment and develop leadership skills within the specialty. You will be required to support and lead the team and work closely with the Multidisciplinary and Consultant team rising to any presenting challenges. You will have the ability to work under pressure in a busy and highly specialised environment. The Obstetric Ultrasound Service provides all forms of inpatient and outpatient obstetric scanning, as well as peripheral ultrasound services within Inverurie, Stonehaven and Peterhead. The department also provide specialist fetal medicine services for NHS Grampian, Orkney and Shetland. The suitable candidate must have good leadership skills, be able to work effectively and efficiently within this busy well-established department. You must have excellent communication skills and have the ability to adapt your skills to ever changing situations. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate clinical excellence in midwifery practice, have experience in management and evidence of continuous service improvement and development.
