Primary Teaching Assistant - Huddersfield - Sept 2026

About the Role:

Justteachers are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Huddersfield from September. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who is passionate about supporting children’s learning and development within a classroom environment. The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers to provide high-quality support across a range of year groups, helping pupils to engage with learning, build confidence, and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support teaching and learning across the primary curriculum.
• Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning objectives.
• Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom organisation.
• Help create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
• Support pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development.
• Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff where required.

Pre-requisites:

• Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is desirable.
• A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• A proactive and flexible approach to classroom support.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
