<p>Product Support Manager – Metal Roofing<br /> Salary: £50,000 – £70,000 basic (DOE)<br /> Location: Bristol (office-based with regular site travel)<br /> Contract: Full-time, permanent<br /> A well-established and growing specialist within the UK construction and building-envelope sector is seeking an experienced Product Support Manager to join its technical team, focusing on metal roofing systems for commercial and industrial projects.<br /> This is a key technical role, supporting projects from early design through to completion, working closely with sales teams, contractors, and external partners to deliver compliant, high-quality roofing solutions.</p> <p>The Role<br /> You will be responsible for the day-to-day technical support of metal roofing products and systems, providing expert input across specification, design, and on-site delivery. The role combines office-based technical work with regular site visits and customer interaction.<br /> Key responsibilities include:<br /> • Producing and approving bespoke metal roofing specifications<br /> • Carrying out thermal calculations and ensuring compliance with building regulations<br /> • Creating technical drawings and details using AutoCAD<br /> • Providing technical support to sales teams, contractors, and customers<br /> • Attending site visits during planning, installation, and post-completion stages<br /> • Assisting with project management from enquiry through to completion<br /> • Liaising with third-party suppliers and service providers<br /> • Maintaining technical resources such as drawings, data sheets, certifications, BIM content, and specifications<br /> • Delivering technical and installation training to internal teams and external partners<br /> • Advising marketing teams on technical content where required</p> <p>About You<br /> You’ll be a confident technical professional with a strong understanding of metal roofing systems, particularly standing seam, and experience working within a construction-focused environment.<br /> Essential skills and experience:<br /> • Strong technical knowledge of metal roofing design, construction, and specification<br /> • Good understanding of UK Building Regulations and construction standards<br /> • Familiarity with CDM 2015 and designer responsibilities<br /> • Excellent written and verbal communication skills<br /> • Confident presenting technical information to groups<br /> • Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD<br /> • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure<br /> • Experience liaising with contractors, consultants, and internal teams<br /> • Comfortable visiting construction sites and carrying out surveys<br /> Desirable:<br /> • Degree or formal qualification in a construction-related discipline<br /> • Background in project management, design, or site supervision</p> <p>What’s on Offer<br /> • Competitive basic salary (£50k–£70k depending on experience)<br /> • Autonomy and influence within a growing technical team<br /> • Opportunity to shape technical processes and training<br /> • Long-term career development within a stable, expanding business<br /> • Supportive office-based environment with regular site exposure</p>
