<h3><strong>General Summary</strong></h3>
<p>The <strong>Project Engineer</strong> assists the Project Manager in overseeing the direction, organization, and completion of underground wet utility and utility plant construction projects, typically valued at up to <strong>$10 million</strong>. This position entails practical field work, technical issue resolution, and teamwork with clients, subcontractors, and internal groups to ensure successful project outcomes.</p>

<h3><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Aid Project Manager in planning, scheduling, and executing daily project tasks.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Coordinate on-site operations, such as pipeline installation, shoring, traffic management, and trench refurbishment.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Supervise RFIs, change orders, permitting, utility alerts, and daily progress reports.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Manage subcontractors, material procurement, and time-and-materials monitoring.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Examine and interpret project blueprints, plans, and specifications.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Ensure adherence to safety regulations and company policies.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Generate project documentation and communications using professional and clear language.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Assist in building and sustaining client partnerships and project profitability.</p>
</li>
</ul>

<h3><strong>Requirements</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>
<p><strong>Experience:</strong> Minimum of <strong>2–4 years</strong> in field work with a contractor specializing in underground wet utilities.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Preference for candidates with experience in <strong>domestic water systems</strong>.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Proficient in:</p>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Pipeline installation techniques</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Waterworks materials and systems</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Traffic control, shoring methods, and trench refurbishment</p>
</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>
<p>Skilled in project documentation, scheduling, change management, and cost monitoring.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Strong written and verbal communication skills.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p><strong>Valid driver’s license</strong> with a clean driving record.</p>
</li>
</ul>

<h3><strong>Education</strong></h3>
<ul>

<p><strong>Bachelor’s degree</strong> in <strong>Civil Engineering</strong> or <strong>Construction Management</strong> preferred.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Equivalent experience in underground construction may be considered in lieu of degree.</p>
</li>
</ul>
