Role: Accounting Technician (ASC Payments & Billing) x 2 REF 1748053
Contract Length: 1 x 9 months and 1 x 12 months
Location: Hybrid/Solihull - Onsite presence required during training
IR35: Inside
Pay Rate to Intermediary: £18.67 per hour

 

Spinwell is recruiting for an Accounting Technician for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ACCOUNTING TECHNICIAN

• Processing invoices accurately and in a timely manner
• Working with the Controcc system - training provided if required
• Liaising with care providers to resolve payment and billing queries
• Handling queries from social workers regarding payments
• Managing payments to providers delivering social care services
• Raising invoices and supporting the billing function
• Initially focusing on payments, with billing responsibilities increasing once confident

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE ACCOUNTING TECHNICIAN

• Basic Finance knowledge or experience including Finance Admin and Accounts Payable.
• Good attention to detail and organisational skills
• Strong communication skills for dealing with internal teams and external providers
• Willingness to learn and adapt
• Open to graduates or post-graduates
• Experience within a finance team or accounts payable is desirable but not essential
• 5 GCSE’s or equivalent - Grades A-C or 4-9, including Maths and English

If successful, candidates will be required to provide information to support the Council’s commitment to the prevention and detection of fraud. This information will be processed by the Council’s Internal Audit Services and may be shared with the National Fraud Initiative (NFI) for data matching.
