Projects Solicitor (Energy)

We are wokring on a new opportunity for a  Projects Solicitor with 6+ years PQE to join our client's esteemed Leeds-based team. As a key member of the firm's growing Energy team, you will be involved in supporting and leading on a diverse range of innovative energy projects. The role offers the chance to work on high-profile energy from waste schemes, district heating, renewable energy technologies including solar PV, battery storage, hydrogen, and carbon capture, as well as smart energy and decarbonisation initiatives. You will collaborate closely with Partners and clients, providing pragmatic legal advice, overseeing project procurement, and ensuring regulatory compliance in a dynamic sector experiencing ongoing transformation towards cleaner energy solutions. The successful candidate will have the opportunity for progression towards partnership, with a focus on developing long-standing relationships.

• 6+ years’ PQE with experience in private practice or in-house 
• Proven experience supervising junior team members and coordinating advice across disciplines
• Strong business development skills with an interest in growing client portfolios
• Excellent technical knowledge, with the ability to navigate complex issues pragmatically and commercially
• A proactive, flexible approach and a passion for learning and development in the energy sector
• Enthusiasm to work as part of a collaborative team, sharing knowledge and supporting team growth
