About the Role

Level 3 Early Years Practitioner – Full Time
Location: Platt Bridge, Wigan
Start Date: September 2026

A friendly and nurturing primary school in Platt Bridge is looking to appoint a passionate and dedicated Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to join their team on a full-time basis from September 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is committed to giving children the very best start to their education and thrives in a play-based, engaging Early Years environment.

The Role:
You will be working within the Early Years setting of a mainstream primary school, creating an inclusive learning environment and supporting children’s development through structured activities and child-led learning, ensuring every child feels safe, supported, and encouraged to explore.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of the EYFS curriculum in line with school expectations
  • Plan and deliver engaging activities alongside the class teacher
  • Observe, assess, and record children’s progress
  • Support children’s social, emotional, and developmental needs
  • Create a safe, positive, and stimulating learning environment
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • A Level 3 qualification in Early Years or equivalent (essential)
  • Previous experience working within an EYFS setting
  • Strong understanding of the EYFS framework
  • A nurturing, patient, and enthusiastic approach
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to get involved in all aspects of school life
