Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking South Carolina licensed OB/GYN physicians for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity in Florence, South Carolina. This outpatient-focused role involves clinic coverage, call participation, and sporadic inpatient OB hospitalist shifts within a Level III NICU environment, utilizing EPIC EMR and supporting continuity of care in a busy community hospital setting.

Opportunity Highlights

• Locum tenens position, ASAP start, ongoing coverage
• Outpatient clinic with Monday – Friday hours
• Clinic volume of approximately 40 patients daily (split morning/afternoon)
• Clinic call rotation, currently 1:6, transitioning to 1:8
• Inpatient OB hospitalist shifts, 24-hour in-house coverage preferred
• EPIC EMR used across all clinical workflows
• On-site ultrasound services and IUD insertions
• Supportive team environment with dedicated nursing and MA staff
• Sporadic OB hospitalist shifts, typically 24 hours in-house, flexible night coverage considered

Schedule Details

• Clinic open Monday through Friday, with full-week coverage preferred
• Call rotation: 24-hour shifts, rotating every 24 hours, with on-call physicians not required to be in the office during call days
• OB hospitalist shifts: 24-hour in-house shifts from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., with flexibility for night-only coverage if needed
• Post-call rest period: 24 hours off after inpatient coverage

Clinical Scope

• Outpatient obstetric and gynecologic care
• Routine prenatal visits, IUD insertions, and gynecologic procedures
• Management of obstetric patients, including deliveries during call shifts
• Participation in call rotation, acting as a clinical partner for the practice
• Documentation and order entry via EPIC EMR

Practice Environment
This opportunity is based within a community hospital serving the greater Florence region. Providers will work alongside experienced nursing teams, ultrasound techs, and support staff in a structured outpatient clinic setting. The hospital features a 52-bed Level III NICU and onsite maternal fetal medicine services, supporting comprehensive obstetric care.

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• South Carolina medical license (strongly preferred)
• DEA registration (permanent registration preferred)
• Active, unrestricted MD license in South Carolina
• Recent or ongoing OB/GYN clinical experience required
• Willingness to participate in clinic call and inpatient OB hospitalist shifts
