We are recruiting for an experienced
Welder to join a successful and growing manufacturer supplying structural steel solutions across major UK projects. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a permanent role within a business offering consistent workload, modern facilities and opportunities for further development.
Working within a skilled fabrication team, you will support the production of structural steel beams and fabricated components to precise engineering specifications, maintaining exceptional quality and safety standards throughout.

Key Responsibilities- MIG welding structural steel components including fillet and butt welds
- Fabricating cellular beams and structural steel products to drawing specification
- Measuring and cutting steel beams using oxy-propane equipment
- Preparing weld areas using air-arc gouging equipment
- Carrying out visual weld inspections to ensure quality standards are met
- Maintaining tools and equipment in safe working condition
- Reporting equipment faults promptly
- Keeping work areas clean and organised in line with 5S procedures
- Supporting wider fabrication duties where required
What We’re Looking For- Proven fabrication and welding experience within a heavy structural steel environment
- Welding qualification to EN287-1 or BS EN ISO 9606-1, or equivalent practical experience
- Experience completing butt welds from 6mm to 47mm
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings accurately
- Strong understanding of health, safety and quality requirements
- Overhead crane experience advantageous but not essential
