Year 2/3 Teaching Assistant Leeds

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 2/3 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the LS13 area of Leeds from September 2026. This full-time role offers an ongoing opportunity, with a competitive daily rate of £95–£105, depending on experience. The successful candidate will support pupils within a mixed Year 2/3 class, helping children transition successfully between Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 while promoting positive learning experiences and strong academic progress.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support pupils within a Year 2/3 class through classroom activities, small-group work, and 1:1 support.
• Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation, resource creation, and classroom organisation.
• Promote positive behaviour, engagement, and independence throughout the school day.
• Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development to help them achieve their learning goals.

Pre-requisites:

• Experience working with children in a primary school setting.
• A patient, proactive, and nurturing approach to supporting learning.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Confidence supporting pupils across both KS1 and lower KS2 learning expectations.
