About the Role
Traveling Governess / Governor, London, Home Counties, Hongkong and Japan, Flexible Start
A new client of Greycoat Lumleys is looking for a Traveling Governess / Governor for their 10 year old twins and 13 year old boy. The children are in boarding school in the week and are competitive go cart racers on the weekends. The family require someone who will pick them up from their prospective school, take them to competitions across the country and take them back to school. The parents travel internationally contacntly for work so there will be a big element of sole charge and proxy parenting in this role. A confident driver is essential and someone with an interest in racing a bonus. When not racing the family have a home in London where the Governess / Governor can stay out of working hours if preferred.
Strong experience with similar aged children is essential.
An up to date first aid certificate and police check are essential for this position.
Duties:
Managing Thursday / Friday collections from school and Sunday / Monday returns
Transporting the children and their personal kit to various circuits across the UK
Ensuring the family vehicle is maintained to the highest standard
Acting as primary support for the children during practice and race days
Maintenance of driver kit, including cleaning and organising race suits, helmets and protective gear
Providing age appropriate childcare and mentorship when the children are at home in London
Assisting with the smooth running of the home.
Salary: £65,000 to £75,000 GPA
Days: Thursday to Monday
