About the Role
SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary School
Location: Bury and surrounding areas
Pay: Competitive daily rate (dependent on experience)
Contract: Full-time / Part-time / Long-term opportunities available
We are currently seeking caring and motivated SEN Teaching Assistants to support primary schools across the Bury area. We welcome all levels of experience, including candidates with transferable skills from care, support work, youth work or other child-focused roles.

The Role:
Supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs, including Autism, ADHD, learning difficulties and SEMH
Providing one-to-one or small group support in and outside the classroom
Assisting with learning activities tailored to individual needs
Supporting behaviour, emotional regulation, and social development
Working closely with teachers and the SENCo to create a positive, inclusive environment
We Are Looking For:
Teaching Assistants (Level 1–3) or those looking to start a career in education
Individuals with transferable experience such as:
Support or care work
Youth or community work
Nursery or childcare experience
Psychology or education graduates
Coaching, mentoring or tutoring
Patient, reliable and nurturing individuals with a positive attitude
Strong communication and teamwork skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
