About the Role
Job Title: Planning Professional Department: Planning / Supply Chain / Materials planning Reports to: S&OP Coordinator Position Objective: To ensure the timely, efficient, and cost-effective replenishment of all raw materials and supplies required for on-site manufacturing, maintaining optimal inventory levels, minimizing stockouts, and optimizing working capital. Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute the raw materials replenishment plan (MRP) based on the Master Production Schedule (MPS). Monitor daily inventory levels of raw materials and generate purchase orders or requisitions in a timely manner. Create material consumption forecasts based on historical production data, trends, and future production plans. Manage and maintain up-to-date planning parameters (lead times, minimum order quantities, reorder points, safety stock, etc.). Coordinate with the Purchasing department to track national and international purchase orders and ensure on-time delivery. Collaborate closely with Production, Import, R&D and Warehouse teams to resolve any issues that may impact material availability. Perform inventory variance analysis and propose corrective actions to reduce obsolescence and excess inventory. Participate in the S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) process by providing material availability and constraint information. Maintain accurate data in the ERP system SAP related to materials, stock levels, and planning. Generate periodic reports on service levels (fill rate), inventory turnover, and supplier delivery performance, as well as raw material cost analysis, inventory levels (DIO). Identify opportunities for process improvement in materials planning and propose optimization projects (lead time reduction, consignment, etc.). Requirements: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related fields. Postgraduate studies or certifications such as APICS (CPIM, CSCP), Lean Manufacturing, or similar are highly valued. Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Materials Planner or Raw Materials Planner in a manufacturing environment. Solid experience in MRP and raw materials replenishment planning. Proven track record in manufacturing industries (food & beverage, plastics, metalworking, pharmaceutical, automotive, etc.). Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (preferably SAP). Advanced Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas, PowerBI, Data bases). Strong knowledge of MRP, MPS, BOM, and inventory parameters. Solid understanding of key performance indicators: OTIF, Inventory Turns, Fill Rate, Stock Accuracy, OTD. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement tools (6S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping). Competencies: Strong analytical skills and results-oriented mindset. Excellent organizational and planning abilities, with the capacity to manage priorities under pressure. Effective communication and teamwork skills (interface with Production, Purchasing, Quality, and Suppliers). Proactive attitude with a strong focus on problem-solving.
