<p><strong>Salary</strong>: c.£34,000 pa (depending on experience) plus benefits</p><p><strong>Hours</strong>: 9:00 am – 5:30 pm Monday to Friday (40 hours per week)</p><p><strong>Duration</strong>: Permanent</p><p><strong>Location: </strong>Kettering office/hybrid</p><p><strong>Reports to:</strong> Payroll Manager</p><p><strong>The Company:</strong></p><p>We’re a flexible, forward-thinking brand, delivering innovation to the HR, Payroll and Health &amp; Safety sector.</p><p>Our team of consultants work with SMEs to help them to manage their workforce by providing expert advice and services.</p><p><strong>Job Purpose</strong></p><p>This role is to deliver first class support to the Company in the delivery of its payroll support to clients across the UK. This includes&nbsp;processing payrolls and providing technical support and advice on matters pertaining to payroll for our clients.</p><p><strong>Key Duties and Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li><p>Managing the end-to-end processing of clients’ payrolls for a portfolio of clients, including processing salary, PAYE, BACS and pensions payments in an accurate and timely manner</p></li><li><p>To update and maintain payroll records for clients ensuring compliance within legislation rules and regulations along with clients' own terms and conditions</p></li><li><p>Responsible for liaising directly with key contacts for clients to ensure accuracy of payroll data and resolve payroll queries</p></li><li><p>To undertake all payroll administration including filing, setting up new starters, HMRC tax codes, student loan updates and&nbsp;attachment of earnings</p></li><li><p>To calculate termination payments for leavers and statutory sickness, maternity, paternity, shared paternal leave and adoption payments</p></li><li><p>To&nbsp;manually calculate statutory entitlements to check the accuracy of automated calculations</p></li><li><p>To calculate holiday entitlement and pay</p></li><li><p>To process P11Ds, P11d(b) and payrolling benefits</p></li><li><p>To process salary/pay increases and calculate any back pay owed</p></li><li><p>To process RTI submissions for clients, including NI checks, FPS and EPS submissions</p></li><li><p>To process Tax Year End submissions for clients including issuing P60s</p></li><li><p>To support the Payroll Manager and other team members with recommendations for improvement in processes etc</p></li><li><p>To deal courteously and efficiently with members of staff, clients, potential clients and&nbsp;external visitors, maintaining strict confidentiality at all times</p></li><li><p>To support with any required system updates, parallel runs, migrations, reconciliation and implementations</p></li><li><p>Any other ad hoc duties as required</p></li></ul><div><p><br></p></div><p><strong>Person Specification</strong></p><ul><li><p>Ideally CIPP qualified</p></li><li><p>Previous experience in running an end-to-end service for multiple client payrolls, including producing P11Ds, P60S etc</p></li><li><p>Experience in using payroll systems (we currently use SAGE)</p></li><li><p>Demonstrable experience in managing employee and client queries in a client focussed manner</p></li><li><p>Experience with dealing with third party service providers (e.g. pension schemes)</p></li><li><p>Experience of setting up clients through HMRC portal, BACS etc</p></li><li><p>GCSE Maths and English or equivalent</p></li><li><p>The ability to write clear and concise English</p></li><li><p>Be computer literate to a high standard and experience using MS Word and Excel and web-based HR database applications</p></li><li><p>Excellent organisational and administration skills</p></li><li><p>Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy</p></li><li><p>Have a professional and flexible attitude</p></li><li><p>Have the ability to work under pressure</p></li><li><p>Must be able to work under own initiative as well as part of a team</p></li><li><p>Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing</p></li><li><p>Confidence to deal with people at all levels</p></li></ul><p><strong>What we offer in return:</strong></p><p>In exchange for working for a fast-growing company, which is committed to developing and rewarding its passionate team, benefits include:</p><ul><li><p>Supportive and inclusive working environment</p></li><li><p>Competitive salary</p></li><li><p>Training and development opportunities</p></li><li><p>25 days holiday, plus your ‘Birthday day off’</p></li><li><p>Flexible holiday scheme to buy / sell holiday</p></li><li><p>Health Cash Plan</p></li><li><p>Life Assurance scheme (4 x salary)</p></li><li><p>My Staff Shop discounts</p></li><li><p>Employee Assistance Programme</p></li><li><p>Gym membership subsidy</p></li><li><p>Refer a friend or family member reward</p></li><li><p>Free Will writing service</p></li></ul>
