Learning Support Assistant (LSA) – Colchester

Contract: Full-time / Term-time (flexible depending on candidate)
We are seeking a strong, experienced Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream school in Colchester as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional with a passion for supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN
Work closely with class teachers to deliver tailored learning strategies
Support students with a range of needs, including ASD, ADHD, and learning difficulties
Help create an inclusive, positive, and engaging learning environment
Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to staff
Requirements:
Proven experience working with SEN pupils in a mainstream school setting
Strong behaviour management skills
A patient, resilient, and proactive approach
Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
Relevant qualifications or training in SEN (desirable but not essential)
