About the Role
Grounds Maintenance Operative Croydon, London Temporary – 6 Months+ Full Time Join a leading Housing Association as a Grounds Maintenance Operative, helping to maintain clean, safe and attractive outdoor spaces across residential communities in Croydon while delivering an excellent service to tenants. THE ROLE As a Grounds Maintenance Operative, you will work across multiple housing sites, ensuring communal outdoor areas are maintained to a high standard while providing a professional and respectful service to residents. Working as part of an established team, you will play a key role in improving neighbourhood environments and ensuring estates remain safe, tidy and welcoming. Carry out routine grounds maintenance across multiple housing sites. Maintain grassed areas, hedges, shrubs, flower beds and communal green spaces. Identify and report estate maintenance issues requiring further attention. Operate and maintain grounds maintenance equipment safely and effectively. Ensure all work is completed efficiently and in line with health and safety procedures. Provide excellent customer service and remain courteous and respectful when interacting with tenants. Travel between sites throughout the working day using a company vehicle. THE CANDIDATE The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience within a grounds maintenance, landscaping or horticultural role and be committed to delivering a high-quality service. Full UK driving licence with at least two years' driving experience. Experience in grounds maintenance is preferred but not essential. PA1 and PA6 spraying certificates are desirable. Physically fit with the ability to carry out manual outdoor work in all weather conditions. Punctual, enthusiastic, reliable and able to work effectively as part of a team. THE CONTRACT Working Hours: Full Time, Monday to Friday. Length of Contract: 6 Month Contract. Rate: The pay range for the role is £18.00 to£22.00 per hour LTD company rate. The PAYE equivalent is £15.35 to £18.76 per hour, inclusive of holiday.
