About the Role
<p><b>Transport Planner – Days</b></p>
<p><b>Staines</b></p>
<p><b>Shift:</b> 4-on-4-off; 6am – 6pm</p>
<p><b>Salary:</b> £30,000 – £32,000 (or up to £34,000 with right experience)</p>
<p><b>Full-Time, Permanent</b></p>

<p><b>Roles and Responsibilities</b></p>
<p>Your position involves a combination of data entry and dealing with customers and Drivers. You will also be planning / organising vehicle movements.</p>
<ul>
<li>Booking, planning and allocating jobs onto our Transport Management System.</li>
<li>Organising Driver’s paperwork for the day.</li>
<li>Being a main point of contact for Drivers that report to the office, including sub-contractors.</li>
<li>Reporting vehicle defects to the Transport Manager if bought to your attention.</li>
<li>Other general transport duties as required.</li>
<li>Providing feedback to management.</li>
<li>Answering office phone calls.</li>
<li>Ensuring vans are not taken home when Drivers are going on holiday.</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Road knowledge is beneficial for this role.</li>
<li>To be reliable and trustworthy so the Drivers know they can rely on the information given to them by you.</li>
<li>Knowledge of fleet and vehicles to ensure that the correct vehicles are sent to specific jobs.</li>
<li>Good communication skills.</li>
<li>Polite / courteous.</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Required Attitude and Personality:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Must be reliable.</li>
<li>Concise and careful worker adhering to CAA regulations.</li>
<li>Reasonable IT skills (Outlook, familiar with using the internet).</li>
<li>Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges and responsibilities.</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Experience, Qualifications and Education Requirements</b>:</p>
<ul>
<li>Experience working in a logistics company previously.</li>
<li>The role requires a clean CRC check (which will be carried out before employment).</li>
<li>Ideally the candidate will have had previous training in Cargo Operative (non-screening) and Hazard Awareness – this training is also mandatory and will be completed before employment if the candidate does not already have this training.</li>
<li>GDP Trained to handle Pharma bookings (can be undertaken prior to commencement of employment).</li>
