MSSQL Administrator

The SQL Server Migration Specialist is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing migrations of Microsoft SQL Server databases and applications to the organization's target database platforms. The role focuses on provisioning and migrating standalone SQL Servers to resilient environments (Hotel solution) as well as SQL Server Always On Availability Group clusters, ensuring a secure, stable, and efficient migration experience for customers.

 

The specialist acts as the primary technical coordinator throughout the migration lifecycle, working closely with application teams, infrastructure teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to ensure successful onboarding onto strategic database platforms.

 

Must-have knowledge and experience: Strong experience administering Microsoft SQL Server (2016/2019/2022).
Proven experience delivering SQL Server migration projects. Hands-on experience with:
SQL Server Always On Availability Groups
Windows Server Failover Clustering
Backup and recovery solutions
SQL Server performance tuning
High availability and disaster recovery configurations

Experience coordinating complex technical projects involving multiple stakeholders.
Understanding of enterprise IT governance, change management, and risk management processes.
